Explore Gran Canaria’s Stunning Coastline with a Variety of Boat Trips and Tours

Gran Canaria offers a wide range of boat trips, perfect for exploring the island’s stunning coastline and surrounding ocean. There are boat tours in Gran Canaria to suit all interests. One of the most popular options is dolphin and whale watching, typically done on catamarans or glass bottom boats, with experienced guides onboard. The other most popular boat trips are different types of Catamaran trips some with swim stops and water sports and other Catamarans that let you venture along Gran Canaria’s coastline while enjoying activities like snorkelling or paddleboarding.

For a more luxurious experience, you can hire a motor or sailing yacht or even a private catamaran for a more exclusive boat trip. If you’re seeking action or adventure, sea fishing trips offer the opportunity to catch local species, such as tuna or marlin.

Most boat trips depart from Puerto Rico which has two main ports, the larger is called Puerto Base and the smaller harbour marina, Puerto Escala. The other smaller ports where boat tours depart include Puerto de Mogán often referred to as the “Mini Venice” of Gran Canaria and Arguineguín, a small fishing town near Puerto Rico. Additionally there is Pasito Blanco, a private marina near Maspalomas, which offers smaller private boat trips.

Most boat trips departing from these ports offer return transfers from all major resorts in the south of Gran Canaria making them convenient for tourists. However the northern part of the island, including the capital Las Palmas primarily focuses on ferry services to other Canary Islands, cruise ships and cargo ships rather than shorter daytime boat trips.

Booking a boat trip in Gran Canaria gives you an excellent opportunity to experience the island’s breathtaking scenery, marine life with the option to do some adventurous water activities.
